Businesses
Discoveries
35 years ago, St Peter’s came up with the idea of having a shop which could offer several different benefits – a way for the Church to interact with the community around it, a way of offering high-quality items at low process for those struggling with financial issues, an income stream for the Church to fund ministry and mission, an opportunity for volunteering and simply a place to meet and, where possible, show the love of Jesus for Yateley. 30 years on and Discoveries is a thriving business with a high reputation in the town. Discoveries has a manager, with a team of part time and voluntary staff.
Discoveries, next door to St Peter’s, is open 9am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday, Tel: 01252 912765

Café 46
For some years, St Peter’s had a Coffee Shop in one of the meeting rooms. 10 years ago, the building next to St Peter’s, Chaddisbrook House became vacant and the Church invested in converting the building to include a Café and Offices, with Discoveries already a part of it. The resulting Café 46 has become a place where everyone feels welcome with opportunities to connect to the community, a meeting hub for the community as an ethical social enterprise, generating funds for mission.
Café 46 serves Breakfast, lunch, coffee, tea or an afternoon treat. It offers good quality, nourishing and affordable food, fairly traded, ethically and locally sourced where possible. A simple menu supplemented by daily specials.
Everyone is welcome … Families with children, a bunch of friends that like to natter, catch up with a business contact or bring your laptop and make use of the free wifi. Café 46 is run by a manager and her team, with invaluable help from volunteers who share our passion for community. They look forward to seeing you soon!

Chaddisbrook House
The two businesses in Chaddisbrook House share the same Vision as the Church Community, with a desire to interact with the community around, offering a high quality, fairly traded approach to business, along with being a place for conversation and friendship. Volunteers and part time employees include those from the local senior school, along with the disabled. The Café is used by community groups such as the Yateley Society, as well as our own groups, Connect and the Bereavement Journey.
In 2025, St Peter’s was invited to make a film about the Businesses, and you can see it here … https://youtu.be/C2tNYosKqdU
