Sliven Baptist Church, Bulgaria

In 2025, St Peter’s developed a new Mission Partnership with the Baptist Church in Sliven, a town of 80,000 people in Bulgaria, situated in Sliven Valley at the foothills of the Balkan mountains. It is 300 km east of the capital Sofia, 100 km from Burgas 130 km from Turkish and Greek borders. The vision of this Church is to reach out into the community, seeking to serve it in various practical ways.

Iuri & Plamena Valkovi are the Pastor of Sliven Baptist Church and the Director of Sliven Blue House.

 A small team from St Peter’s  visited in October 2025 to find out more about their community projects and current challenges and we are looking forward to hosting a visit in return in May of 2026.
